Student Welfare

Boronia Park Public School strives to promote the welfare of our students through personal development and welfare programs, based on positive values and a safe, happy, secure learning environment. These programs empower students through developing confident, responsible and independent decision makers who have the knowledge, skills, attitudes and security to adapt to their rapidly changing world.

The management of student behaviour at Boronia Park revolves around the Discipline Code that establishes strong expectations of appropriate behaviour and positive communication between students, staff and parents.

Personal development programs focus upon the development of leadership confidence and self discipline. Teaching programs are supported by a strong commitment from staff and parents.

Personal Achievements

Each student is treated as an individual. The emphasis is placed on developing each child's talents. The Boronia Park merit award and house award systems have been designed to recognise individual and group achievement.

Student Leadership

Students have a voice at Boronia Park Public School. The Student Representative Council plays an important and growing role .

Leadership is strongly encouraged within the school. Students of all ages are provided with opportunities to develop their talents.

The Peer Support Program is an important part of student welfare at Boronia Park. This program provides many opportunities for students to develop their personal and social skills in a caring and supportive atmosphere. The Peer Support program is closely linked to the Buddies program.
