Buddies

Students in Year 6 support Kindergarten students during their first year of school by becoming their "Buddies". Activities occur regularly in classrooms and informally in the playground. Kindergarten students are placed in the same Peer Support Groups as their buddies. This program helps senior students develop a sense of responsibility and teaches them co-operation and tolerance. For Kindergarten students, the program provides security and helps them settle into school.

Other classes throughout the school are also involved in the Buddy program. Years K-2 buddy with 3-6 classes.
